Selecting Heavy-Duty Casters for 1,500kg Logistics Trolleys

Logistics carts depend entirely on the strength of their casters. A cart rated for 1,500 kg requires careful caster engineering to prevent manual push fatigue and wheel failure.

1. Polyurethane (PU) on Iron Core Casters

For heavy manufacturing concrete floors, we specify PU tires molded onto solid cast iron hubs:

• Hardness Shore 95A: Minimizes rolling resistance, enabling easy manual start.
• High Wear Resistance: Outperforms standard rubber by 300% under heavy loads.

2. Caster Locking Configurations

• Swivel locks: Lock swivels in line for straight AGV towing trains.
• Brake locks: Secure wheel rotation and swivel during workstation loading.

3. Calculating Caster Load Safety Factors

Always divide total cart weight by 3 instead of 4, since uneven factory floors often shift the entire load onto three wheels.
